Madagascar
Hundreds of people held a march in Madagascar’s island of Sainte-Marie, to pay tribute to two French aid workers killed in the country.
Their bodies were found lying on a beach on Sunday, about 150 metres from a night club, where they are believed to have spent their evening.
Officials in the country reported that both victims showed signs of head trauma, highly suspecting they could have been murdered.
In reaction to this, the French Ministry condemned the odious crime that claimed the lives of its citizens and said that investigation was underway.
The two volunteers, 22-year-old Magalie and 25-year-old Romain worked for Cetamada, a local environmental non-profit organisation working to protect ocean mammals.
Authorities in the country say at least seven people suspected of committing the crime have been arrested.
